This is a lovely example of a pseudohexoginal growth formation of Aragonite. The naturally occurring formations are called “trillings” and they all shoot off of a sphere shaped center to make it look like a little Sputnik lander. This one has a relatively symmetrical shape, a beautiful rust orange color and great sparkle in the light due to the refractive nature of the crystal ends. This specimen measures
1.5 inches tall and the same width and was handpicked ans inspected by me. Photographed in natural light and unedited for accuracy. This is a pretty delicate specimen so please handle with care and do not get it wet.
